Beef Stroganoff Stir Fry Hybrid

Taking a typical stroganoff [see the post a few days ago] but adding in vegetables that don't belong and putting it over brown rice instead of egg noodles. It was incredibly good and definitely no soy sauce required or desired.

Patty Melt

It was so good I don't know why we haven't made this more often. Grilled onions, mushrooms, fresh tomatoes and melted cheddar cheese make a great topper for the tasty pan fried steakette.

Beef Stroganoff

Done the full and proper way! Some would use creme fraiche [whatever that is]. For our purposes 21 percent sour cream will do, we usually eat 7 or 14 percent. Sadly this meal had blurry pictures but I will show them all in sequence anyway.

These mushrooms reduced a lot so it's a good idea to use more then you think you need!

There is flour in with the garlic at this stage. Just a small tablespoon full.
The white wine going in with the fried onions, mushrooms, garlic and flour.

Big mistake using a machine to chop chives. We'll know better next time.
Sour cream started to go in.
Egg noodles, next time we'll get the proper traditional broad type egg noodles.
Can you smell that? It's all starting to come together.
Ready for Noodles at last!
Time to enjoy! Oddly chopped chives aside it was incredibly good!

Pork Chops

A simple pan fried chop oozing with melted cheddar on top and eaten just with bread. A little light vanilla ice cream and wild blueberry's for dessert.

Penne & Meatballs

Chunky fried garlic with red and yellow peppers went really well with just black olives. Topped with crushed red pepper flakes and or grated Parmesan cheese.

Hamburger Noodle Soup

No hamburger noodles in there but there are leftover noodles and hamburger! What's good for the goose/chicken is good for the gander/cow.
